Huacaya Alpacas Sold

Our first baby of 2024 and born on the day of the solar eclipse no less! Eclipse is a friendly and spunky boy with gorgeous rose grey fiber. We can’t wait to see him and the others chasing each other in the pasture this summer!

Lonesome Pine is our second cria of 2024 and he is a showstopper! He is a very curious boy with beautiful deep black fleece. He and Eclipse are already great buddies and are always out exploring together.

Cataba is a beautiful "True Black" female. She has a wonderful temperament and is a very good mom.

Darby has a beautiful fine fleece in a shade of brown with hints of maroon. She is a wonderful Mom and watches over the entire herd. Darby is currently bred to K-Ran Dream's Revelation (Revie) (ARI# 30931077), with a due date of Jun 18, 2011. She has not been confirmed via ultrasound yet. Finally the long wait is over! Darby had a little girl (16.8 lbs) on June 28th - she's a beautiful dark brown and full of spunk - her name is "Belle" Darby is selling for $1,500 as a breeding female, or $500 as a non-breeder.

"Freckles" arrived bright and early on July 5th. She didn't come at the "normal time" that most would think - those magic hours between 10:00am - 1:00pm. She decided to surprise us by being born early 5:30am, so we would have something to wake up to. She is the cutest cria that I have ever layed my eyes on. Her registered name will be "Owl Ridge Angel Kisses" - freckles for short. "Freckles" has been SOLD! Congratulations Melissa w/ Poppy Moon Farm. We are sure you are going to love her as much as we do!

Belle is one inquisitive and friendly little girl, loves to give kisses. The minute you step into the pen, she's right there to see what you are doing. Though the pics don't show it - Belle is Bay Black with a fine fleece exhibiting good chacater and great luster. Belle is being sold for $1,000 as a breeding female, or $500 as a non-breeder

Gwen is a very curious and friendly alpaca, loves to grab hoodie strings and pull on them. She has a beautiful bay-black fleece with a nice crimp and density.

Whimzy is a beautiful and very confident girl. Her fleece is fine and exhibits good character, luster and crimp. She is an excellent mother and we can't wait to see what her next cria will be like.

Twix is one laid back alpaca. She is a complete sweetheart and is great to work with. She is definitely a farm favorite. She has a dense fine fleece exhibiting good character, crimp and shine. Check out her histogram - 16.5 microns (WOW!) Year after year her fleece has been amazing and her cria Poison Ivy looks like she will be taking after her mom in both her personality and fleece.

Semi is a light fawn color with darker fawn on her neck and face. She is spunky yet gentle, and is a wonderful mom. Her topknot always bring a smile to our faces when we see her! This girl produces awesome babies - "Storm" (one of our herd sires is her offspring). Here latest baby - Excalibur is looking pretty nice as well.

Avenger is a conformationally correct female with lots of true black fiber packed on her. Another "Abenaki Wski" female, she has a lot of dark fawn and grey in her background. Her mother is a dark silver grey. Avenger re-bred to "A.L. Paca's Revolution" for a June 2016 cria. (Still needs to be confirmed). Mystical is a beautiful white female. She has quite the personality and is an excellent and attentive mother. She produces beautiful cria and is a leader in the herd.

Mystery is a show stopper, with a fleece full of crimp and luster to go along with it. She is definitely a contender for the show-ring. She has a wonderful personality and is a curious and sweet girl.

Mystique is a stunning medium fawn girl. Her fleece is gorgeous and very fine with a great crimp and density as well. She is one of the leaders in the herd and has a strong personality. Mystique will be bred to one of our excellent herd sires Spring 2023.

Firefly is a beautiful Appaloosa girl with an excellent genetic background. She is spunky and energetic and has a great personality. She is a sweetheart and gets along well with the other alpacas. Her fleece is very fine and she is definitely a contender for the show-ring.

Ruby was sired by Goldrush's Stone Cold Stunner- Lots of well known foundation alpacas in his pedigree: Victor's Hemiaccoyo Casanova (sire of Aussie 38 Special & Aussie Guns N Roses), Emerald Farm's Stone Cloud, Victor, and Danko. He's modern dark rose gray and received a reserve color championship at age 6.5 months! Outstanding fineness and density, with micro bundling of crimpy fiber. Her yearling shearing came back with nice stats ( 2016: 21.1AFD, 4.7 SO, 22.2 CV, 3.9 CF) Her spring 2019 shearing at 20 months was 18.3 micron! She's maintaining 23 micron after 2 crias. Ruby had a beautiful medium fawn female cria, on 8/12/19 sired by H2R Velvet Legend, named "Jewel of the Midwest". Both of Ruby's cria have been strong and up trying to nurse within an hour! Ruby is an excellent mom with a lovely temperament and will be bred to one of our excellent herd sires Spring 2023.

Rare Godfather daughter Top 5% EPD A rare Godfather daughter but out of one of the best females in the country, Sorpresa from the famous Navidad line. Ask Julie Skinner, or Libby Forstner, or Jude Anderson. All owned/own Navidad females. She is truly one of the greats. Only the best breeders in the country own these lines. Lucy has everything going for her. Gorgeous head, strong frame and a dense very very fine fleece just 16.9 micron at 14 months of age. Her fiber STILL has beautiful brightness and a high frequency crimp that has defined staple formation and soft handle. At 11 years and after several crias, she's still 20.1 micron of usable staple length fiber! This solid foundation dam has produced champions and always has healthy, beautiful offspring. She is an excellent mother with a wonderful temperament and will be bred to one of our excellent herd sires Spring 2023.

Mira has solid bone, excellent fleece coverage, brightness, great density, and a very good staple length. She's also proven to be an attentive mom, and an easy birther with plenty of milk. And she has a couple of very well known gray's in her pedigree. Mira's sire, Patagonia's Lennox, is a well known and sought after multi-Color Champion herdsire, and with over 274 registered offspring, he has produced more champions than any other sire at Patagonia Estates. His sire is one of the direct Chilean imports, Danko. Mira's dam brings the genetics of Snowmass Nova, 5Peruvian Chaccu, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Peruvian Bueno, and PPeruvian Caligula. Mira has an interesting and quirky personality (she's actually quite fun and inquisitive), and she gets along well with her herd, but when it comes to people, she can be a little difficult - especially if you want to touch her! Despite this, she's one of those girls that everyone who comes to the farm is taken with due to her big eyes and personality. She'll come right up to check you out...but, when you reciprocate by putting your hand out, she responds by saying: "Please...don't touch me!" Mira will be bred to one of our excellent herd sires Spring 2023.

Kinicky is a beautiful big boy with a fleece to go with it. He is one of the most clever alpacas we have, and learned quickly that his fleece protected him from the electric fence. We would often find him out munching the early spring grass and patrolling the fence lines between the boy and the girls (good thing the girls are in woven wire fencing). We now often refer him to as our farm greeter - he's always willing to stand still and let visitors check out his fleece.

Ravat is one handsome and gentle boy, with the softess fleece. He has a beautiful rich brown fleece which is gorgeous when spun into yarn.

Swoosh was one of the first alpacas that we bought. We were drawn in by his bay black fleece, that shines with a maroon tint in the summer. He's now growing in grey across his blanket which gives his fleece a unique look. Pictures we've taken aren't doing this guy justice, but when you take a look at the yarn he produces, that says it all.

Blizzard is gorgeous fiber boy who is a full Bolivian! Even though we are back in mud season (when aren't we in NY) his fleece is a beautiful white and looks like a Berber carpet. He produces a large quantity of fleece each year and his yarn flies off the shelf! Blizzard is also very even tempered and is usually the calm one in the group. He gets along well with all the other males and is a great boy to work with.

Copper arrived on May 25, after what seemed a long long wait. From the start he has been full of spunk - either bouncing around the pasture or running at top speed. He has a gorgeous brown coat that gleams like copper in the sun, and a fine dense fleece. We are excited to watch him mature and see his personality continue to blossom.

Merlin is a sweetheart of an alpaca, a little standoffish, until his buddy Arthur reassures him everything is o.k. He has outstanding fleece, from top not to tail. Has the potential to be a herd sire. And who could resist that face! SOLD - Congrats to Christine Dietz!

Excalibur is a handsome fiber boy, with a beautiful Bay-Black fleece. He is very curious and is not afraid to come right over and investigate. Excalibur has been neutered and is being offered for sale for $350. Congratulations to Paul and Joan on the purchase of this handsome boy!

"Magneto" is a Dark Silver Grey male with a beautiful fleece. His sire is none other than "A.L. Paca's Revolution" a 17x Champion Winning Male. "AMAF Avenger" his Dam wasn't shown, but has a pedigree that includes...Abenaki Wski. Magento is a handsome boy with a very fine fleece and a charming personality to go with it. He would make an excellent addition to any farm. Magneto has been gelded and is being offered for sale at $750. Congratulations to Paul and Joan on the purchase of this handsome boy!

Loki is a handsome herd sire producing large amounts of dense fleece every year. He is a very sweet boy and is easy to handle and work with. He would make an excellent addition to any starting breeding program!
